Discover the best of Montenegro, Trebinje and Dubrovnik on a family-friendly journey combining spectacular mountain landscapes, historic towns, beautiful lakes, cultural heritage and relaxing time on the Adriatic coast.
From the charming streets of Trebinje and the dramatic landscapes of Durmitor National Park to the peaceful waters of Skadar Lake, the historic royal capital of Cetinje and the UNESCO-protected Old Town of Kotor, this journey offers a wonderful introduction to Montenegro. The adventure continues along the coast towards Porto Montenegro and Dubrovnik, where you will have time to explore the famous Old Town and enjoy a relaxed final day by the sea.
This carefully designed itinerary combines Montenegro's spectacular nature and cultural heritage with family-friendly activities and plenty of free time to enjoy the destinations at your own pace.
The journey begins in Dubrovnik and continues through Trebinje into Montenegro, with overnight stays in Nikšić, Žabljak and Budva before crossing back into Croatia for the final days in Dubrovnik.
Along the way, enjoy a guided walk around the Three Lakes of Durmitor, discover the unique Ostrog Monastery, cruise across Skadar Lake, explore the former royal capital of Cetinje, visit Lipa Cave and discover the historic towns of Kotor, Tivat and Dubrovnik.
Optional experiences such as rafting, zip lining, kayaking, cable car rides and alpine coaster rides can be added to make the journey more adventurous.
DAY 1
ARRIVAL – WELCOME!
Arrival at Dubrovnik Airport and meet your local guide and driver.
After a short orientation and briefing, begin your journey towards Montenegro with a stop in Trebinje for a city tour, a charming town in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Enjoy free time to explore the town and have lunch before meeting your guide at the designated meeting point.
Continue towards Nikšić and check in at your hotel.
The evening is free to relax and explore Nikšić at your own pace.

DAY 2
NP DURMITOR & TARA CANYON
After breakfast at the hotel, take a guided walking city tour of Nikšić.
After the walking tour, check out and depart towards Žabljak, the mountain centre of northern Montenegro.
The drive takes you through spectacular mountain scenery, with the possibility of making photo stops along the way.
Continue towards Žabljak and the famous Tara River Canyon and Đurđevića Tara Bridge, one of Montenegro's most impressive natural landmarks.
Depending on your preferences, enjoy free time for lunch or choose one of the optional adventure activities.

Arrive in Žabljak and check in at the hotel.

DAY 3
WILD MOUNTAINS, SACRED STONE & SEA
After breakfast, check out and set off for a guided walking tour through the beautiful landscapes of Durmitor National Park.
The Three Lakes walking tour takes you through peaceful mountain scenery, forests and glacial lakes. The route is designed for beginners and casual walkers and offers a wonderful opportunity to experience Durmitor at a relaxed pace.
After the walk, enjoy free time for lunch in Žabljak, or enjoy the traditional cooking class and lunch at Eco Village Charming Pony. Charming pony is rural household is located in the village of Palež, not far from the center of Žabljak. They are primarily engaged in livestock breeding and agriculture. Ponies bred by the hosts are a real attraction for guests. Guests can take part in all activities related to rural tourism, such as growing fruits and vegetables, gardening, taking care of animals together with the hosts, preparing traditional Montenegrin dishes from locally grown products, etc
In the afternoon, continue towards Budva.
On the way, visit the spectacular Ostrog Monastery, one of Montenegro's most remarkable cultural and spiritual landmarks, dramatically built into a cliff high above the Bjelopavlići plain.
Continue to Budva and check in at your hotel.

DAY 4
LAKE VIEWS & CITY VIBES
After breakfast, depart from Budva towards Skadar Lake.
Enjoy a scenic boat tour on Montenegro's largest lake, surrounded by mountains, wetlands and beautiful natural landscapes. During the cruise, enjoy traditional Montenegrin snacks and drinks while taking in the peaceful scenery.
Continue towards Podgorica for some free time and discover Montenegro's capital on a guided city walking tour. After the tour, spend some time in BIG Fashion Shopping Centre for a shopping time and leisure.
Enjoy free time for dinner in Podgorica before returning to Budva in the evening.

DAY 5
OLD ROYAL MONTENEGRO
After breakfast, begin your journey through Montenegro's historic heartland.
Visit Lipa Cave, one of the largest explored cave systems in Montenegro. A short train ride takes you to the entrance of the cave, followed by a guided walk through its impressive underground halls, passages and natural formations.
Continue to Cetinje, the former royal capital of Montenegro, and explore the historic town.
After some free time for lunch, continue towards Lovćen National Park.
At the Kuk Upper Cable Car Station, enjoy free time and choose from several optional activities, including the cable car, alpine coaster or ATV experience.
Return to Budva in the afternoon.

DAY 6
THE JEWELS OF BOKA BAY
After breakfast, depart for Kotor and enjoy a guided walking tour of this UNESCO-protected medieval town.
Discover the historic Old Town and its impressive architecture, squares and churches, including the Cathedral of St. Tryphon.
After the walking tour, enjoy free time for lunch in Kotor.
Depending on the selected program, continue with a scenic boat excursion through the Bay of Kotor towards the picturesque town of Perast and the famous island of Our Lady of the Rocks.
Explore Perast and enjoy its beautiful waterfront and historic architecture before returning to Budva.

DAY 7
THREE ADRIATIC GEMS
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your journey towards Croatia.
Your first stop is Porto Montenegro, the elegant waterfront marina in Tivat. Enjoy a guided visit and free time to explore the promenade, admire the yachts or relax at one of the cafés.
Continue towards Herceg Novi, a charming coastal town known for its green landscapes, historic old town and numerous stone stairways.
Enjoy a lunch stop before continuing towards the Croatian border and Dubrovnik.
Upon arrival, check in at your hotel.
In the evening, discover Dubrovnik on a guided walking tour combined with a Game of Thrones experience.

Northern Regions (especially in April/May and October) - Warm Clothing: Temperatures can drop significantly during the evenings and nights, so be sure to bring a jacket or sweater to stay warm.
