Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to your hotel and check in for 4 nights.
Optional addition: Visit the wine cellar Sipcanik for wine tasting directly from the airport.
The wine cellar “Sipcanik” is one of the most splendid venues in Podgorica. The old military airport was transformed into an impressive treasury of wine. The cellar is located in the middle of the vineyard, in the same land, in the same rocks from which the grapevines come from. It is shaped like a spiral tunnel, 356 m long, with an impressive surface of 7.000 m2. The temperature is almost permanent-between 17 and 19 degrees.
Overnight in Podgorica.
Begin your day with breakfast at your hotel, then head out to explore Montenegro's capital.
Podgorica is the capital of Montenegro and its administrative, cultural and economic centre. The city holds a long and tempestuous history, which is not so easy to see as much as the everywhere present mantle of socialism – it bears the visible scars of collective government.
As an OPTIONAL addition, you can take an Ostrog monastery tour. The monastery is one of the most visited religious locations in this part of the world. This Orthodox temple has been a pilgrimage site for a long time now, with believers of all confessions joining in large numbers each year to pay their respects to St. Basil – the saint who built this monastery in the 17th century. For centuries, paying respect to his remains has been believed to bring spiritual peace and even miraculous healings and it is why even nowadays thousands gather on the 12th of May (St Basil’s day) and embark on a pilgrimage from Podgorica (43km/27 miles), other parts of Montenegro or the neighbouring countries towards Ostrog monastery.
