Zdrebaonik Monastery

Two kilometres from Danilovgrad, approximately in the centre of the Bjelopavlici Plain, is the Zdrebaonik monastery complex. It consists of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel and the monastery dwellings. The church was built in 1818, on the foundations of a much older sanctuary from the era of the Nemanjic Dynasty. Since 1856, the preserved remains of St. Arsenije of Srem, the successor of Rastko Nemanjić (St. Sava) have been kept in the monastery.
